Meet your candidates: Supriya Mahajan & Jatin Lohia

Students' Union President and Executive Vice-President Candidates

Hi Fellow Capers, I am Dr. Supriya Mahajan, a Presidential candidate for the 2023 Students’ Union General Elections. I am currently enrolled in the Post-Baccalaureate diploma in Healthcare Management. I am a dentist by profession with a passion for serving the community. I have traveled to 11 countries and enjoy interacting with diverse communities. I am also a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and strongly believe in inclusivity.

My vice-presidential candidate is Jatin Lohia. He is currently enrolled in the Post-Baccalaureate diploma in Business Analytics. Since 2014, he has worked as the Project Development Manager to establish projects for students in collaboration with the government. This experience has made him well-equipped to work on the challenges faced by the students here.

Together, we hope to bring a much-needed revolution to the students here at CBU.

· We are committed to providing more skill-based internships and job opportunities by collaborating with the local businesses.

· Additionally, housing crises and transit issues remain at the top of our agenda.

· We want to increase the number and accessibility of scholarship options.

· We also want to improve the facilities provided at Cineplex.

· We strongly believe that consent is king and want to strive to create a safe environment for our students.

Our core values are accountability, transparency, accessibility, integrity, and diversity.

If elected, we promise to make sure that every voice is equally represented and heard.

Your voice is important, we don’t want you to SUPRESS it, give us a chance to EXPRESS it!
