Meet Your Candidates: Rebecca Seymour

SRC 23- School of Arts and Social Sciences

My name is Rebecca Seymour, and I am one of the candidates for the School of Arts and Social Sciences seat on the Student Representative Council. I am from Cape Breton and am currently in my first year of my Bachelor of Arts degree. I am extremely passionate about CBU and our CBU community, as well as matters of social justice and social equity. I want to work toward creating an SRC that well represents arts students and is inclusive of what the vast majority of us would like to see at CBU. I want to make Cape Breton the best it can be for everyone living and coming here; this starts at the university level by ensuring that my fellow arts students are well taken care of. I will work to make sure that the Students’ Union Executive team is held accountable and makes decisions representative of the CBU student body.
